Annual Action Plan
Every year, Lake County (in cooperation with Waukegan and North Chicago) is required to develop and publish an Action Plan that shows how the federal funds it receives (CDBG, ESG and HOME) will be used to address the goals and strategies of the Consolidated Plan for its program year (May 1st - April 30th). The funded programs are detailed in this plan.
The funded programs in the Annual Action Plan are determined by the Housing and Community Development Commission Advisory and Recommendation Committees, which rate and rank the applications, and also through citizen participation. Each year, two public hearings are held regarding the contents of the Annual Action Plan, including the funded projects. The Housing and Community Development Commission strongly encourages citizen participation.
