The Lake County Regional Office of Education’s Attendance and Truancy Division is inviting all Lake County schools to participate in the Twenty-Seventh Annual Fall Attendance Competition in Lake County. The Attendance Competition promotes improved school attendance at the beginning of the school year, and emphasizes the need to attend regularly to receive full educational benefits. This is in collaboration with Attendance Work’s in promoting Attendance Awareness Month.
There will be 4 categories where the top 10 schools with the best attendance percentage for the week of of September 14-18, 2015 will receive a certificate from the Regional Office of Education and be mentioned in news articles. These groups are: Small, Medium and Large Elementary (K-8) Schools plus High Schools.
Early Due Date
This year, due to the short period of time between the end of Attendance Week and the September 30, 2015 Top Ten Ceremony, attendance rates will be due earlier than usual. Please submit all attendance rates by 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Unfortunately, any schools not submitted by that time will be disqualified.
