14th St - From IL 131 to Jackson St
This project has an external dedicated website. Visit 14thStProject.com to view project information and sign up to receive notifications.
Limits: From IL131 (Green Bay Rd) to Jackson St in North Chicago and Waukegan
Description: Reconstruction using a 'road diet' concept, where four lanes will be reduced to 3, providing one lane in each direction and a center turn lane. This concept makes room available to build non-motorized facilities such as a sidewalk on the south side and a bikepath on the north side. The existing four-way stop intersection at 14th St and Dugdale will be converted to a roundabout during a 90-day closure with detour.
The Lake County Division of Transportation (LCDOT) is reconstructing 14th Street from Green Bay Road to Sheridan Road in North Chicago and Waukegan. Please join us for a Construction Open House to learn more about the construction schedule and detour plans associated with the project.
DATE: Wednesday, June 19
TIME: 5 - 7 p.m.
LOCATION: Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago
The public information meeting will be conducted in an open house format, so the public may attend at any time between 5 - 7 p.m. Exhibits will be on display and project team members will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
