Lake County Public Works (LCPW) is gearing up to begin work on installing a new water main serving the area beginning the week of August 1st.
Tentative Project Schedule Project work is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of August 1st in Arden Shores Estates Subdivision along Juneway Terrace between Glendell Avenue and Bayshore Drive, along Bayshore Drive between Juneway Terrace and Green Bay Road and along Hillside Avenue. We anticipate construction activities (including restoration) will be complete by November, pending weather delays, and contingent on successful testing of the line. Please check back for updates.
Excavation The work will take place in the road right-of-way. Please be sure to keep a safe distance from the job site; although the work will be barricaded and fenced off for safety, please be sure to keep children and pets away as a precaution. Minimal excavation on private property may occur during the process of service line switchovers to the new main. Landscape restoration is included in the contract and will be inspected to assure restored conditions satisfactorily meet those as recorded in the pre-construction video of the project site.
Planned Water Main Shutdowns At times, it may be necessary to shut off water for short periods of time (less than four hours). The contractor will notify homeowners the day prior to the shutdown so they can plan accordingly.
Unforeseen Water Main Shutdowns At certain times, it may be necessary to shut down the water main due to unforeseen conditions (i.e.: water main breaks caused by construction related activities). In these instances, it will not be possible to notify homeowners of the shutdown. In most instances, the water main is repaired and placed back in service within four hours.
Preconstruction Video Documentation RJ Underground, Inc. is required to video record all areas which will be affected by water main construction and LCPW will receive a copy of the DVD. The recording will document pre-construction conditions and will aid us in proper restoration of areas affected by construction.
