Building

• Enforcement of county building codes and zoning ordinances in unincorporated Lake County through plan review, permitting, and inspection of all construction activity
• Provision of building plan review and inspection services to municipalities through intergovernmental service agreements
• Coordination of building code amendments with relevant jurisdictions

Engineering

• Enforcement of the Unified Development Ordinance in unincorporated Lake County in relation to drainage, soil erosion, floodplain and wetland protection
• Point of contact for citizen inquiries and complaints related to drainage, soil erosion, floodplains and wetlands in unincorporated Lake County
• Oversight of the National Flood Insurance Program for unincorporated Lake County
• Coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on wetland related matters
