2013 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project
This project involves cleaning, televising and cured-in-place lining of approximately 21,365 feet of sanitary sewer mains and approximately 345 connection points with service laterals. Work will take place in Fox Lake Hills, along portions of Washington Street in Grayslake and along portions of Old McHenry Road in Long Grove.
During the sewer cleaning process, high pressure water is sprayed through the public sewers. As a precaution, please keep your toilet seats down during the day while this work takes place and report any problems to our project manager Heather Galan at 847.377.7500.
If you smell sewer gases near a floor drain or sink, pour a cup of water down those drains. The cleaning and lining process may draw out the moisture from the p-traps but adding a cup of water should refill the p-trap to fix that problem.

Heather Galan is the Lake County Public Works (LCPW) Engineer assigned to this project. Feel free to contact Heather with any questions or concerns you may have about the 2013 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project.
