Play video Flooding: A Coordinated Response
Lake County has an abundance of water bodies and while these are tremendous resources, they also can present a threat when significant rain causes flooding. In 2008, some Lake County communities along the Fox River and Chain O’Lakes were declared disaster areas after flood waters damaged more than 400 structures. During a flood, and any emergency, Lake County departments work together to provide resources and deliver services to meet the needs of residents. Learn more in this video.
