Determining whether an inmate is in custody can be accomplished by the internet or telephone.

Inmates may also be visited at the Jail (20 South County Street, Waukegan) during the following hours:

Inmates who are part of the Community Based Corrections Center or Jail Renovation (15 South Martin Luther King Jr. Ave., Waukegan) may be visited during the following hours:

Visits are approximately 30 minutes long
Inmate may receive only ONE visit per week (week starts on Wednesday)
Maximum number of visitors per visit is 3 (1 adult and 2 children, or 2 adults and 1 child)
No one under the age 18 is allowed to visit without a parent or guardian
All visitors 18 and over must have valid driver's license or Secretary of State I.D. to visit
