Watershed Management Boards
There are four WMBs - one per major watershed. WMBs hold an annual meeting to review and approve yearly cost-share grants available to WMB members. The WMBs forward funding recommendations to the SMC Board for approval. Each WMB's membership includes the chief elected official from each municipality, township, and active drainage district; and county board member whose district is located wholly or predominantly in the respective watershed.
The WMB grant application process will begin in August. Annual meeting date to be announced. For more information, contact Kurt Woolford, Chief Engineer, 847.377.7720.
