In-person registration with a deputy registrar is available at most municipal, township, and library facilities. The County Clerk’s office, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan, offers voter registration weekdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
The February 26th Consolidated Primary is only for City of Waukegan residents in alderman wards 3, 7, and 8.

Online voter registration is offered through the Illinois State Board of Elections’ website. Voter must have Illinois driver’s license or state identification card.

Although any registered voter can vote by mail, this is an ideal voting option for snowbirds, students away at school, and those who will be traveling on Election Day as your ballot can be mailed anywhere.
It's simple to vote by mail. Complete the short, required application form and return it to the Clerk’s office before noon on Thursday, February 21.

• Calling 847.377.2406, or
• Emailing your name and address to VotingbyMail@lakecountyil.gov.
Your voted ballot must be postmarked by midnight on Election Day.
