Robert W. Depke Juvenile Complex Center Expansion - Phase 1
A new three-story building on the north end of the Depke Juvenile Complex Center was constructed to enhance the services in our juvenile justice system. The building features new courtrooms and hearing rooms, and more space for the State's Attorney's Office and Public Defender's Office to privately interview clients and witnesses.
Park City Branch Court
The project relocated the Lake County Probation Offices to a remodeled building. The County conserved resources, reduced waste and minimized environmental impacts of manufacturing.
The new eight-story, 200,000 sq. foot court tower houses 12 new courtrooms, jury assembly space, various administrative services and room for six future courtrooms.
Central Permit Facility
This facility functions as a “one-stop shop” for those needing permits. The building includes sustainable features, including an 8,000 square foot green roof that absorbs precipitation.
Public Defender's Office Remodel
The new facility allows the Public Defender’s Office to expand as staffing needs increase. The facility now includes energy efficient lighting, an ADA approved elevator, new plumbing systems and more.
Adult Probation and Psychological Services Relocation
The project relocated the County Probation Offices to a remodeled building. The County conserved resources by reusing more than 75% of the floor structure, roof structure and exterior walls.
Waukegan Campus Parking Lot
Two new surface parking lots that created 157 parking stalls were constructed on a County owned parcel of land to address the shortages demonstrated by various users of the Lake County Courthouse.
